Hawai‘i is more than a destination for me. It is one of the places I call home. As Rabbi Hanniel Levenson, I serve the Maui Jewish Ohana community while also officiating weddings across the islands. I bring that connection to Jewish life in Hawai‘i together with years of experience creating personal, meaningful wedding ceremonies.

I serve as the Executive Director and Spiritual Leader of Maui Jewish ‘Ohana, building Jewish community, leading prayer and holiday gatherings, teaching, and accompanying people through the sacred moments of their lives. My work as a wedding rabbi grows from that same place: creating space for tradition to feel alive, personal, and genuinely connected to who you are.

Whether you are getting married on Maui or elsewhere in Hawai‘i, we create the ceremony together before you arrive so that when the wedding day comes, you can simply be present with each other.
GETTING MARRIED IN HAWAI‘I
A wedding in Hawai‘i already carries a profound sense of place. Ocean, mountains, wind, sunset, and the people who have traveled to stand beside you all become part of the moment.
My role is to hold the sacred space beneath the chuppah so that you can be fully present with one another. I bring the community into the moment, weave your story together with Jewish tradition, and create a ceremony that feels natural, warm, and deeply personal.

HOW WE CREATE YOUR CEREMONY
ONE: We get to know each other and explore the traditions, rituals, and ideas you want to include.
TWO: We begin shaping your ceremony around your story, your families, and what feels meaningful to you.
THREE: We put the final touches on your ceremony and spend time in premarital counseling, creating space to reflect on your relationship, your marriage, and the life you are building together.
